The Root Chakra, First in Series of Seven Chakras

Let's examine the Root Chakra first in the series of understanding the Seven Chakras of the body. Located at the base of the spine, the Root Chakra is the center of physical vitality, personal magnetism, sensuality and physical or material power. It can be hindered by negatives, such as rejection, sexual frustrations and a sense of limitation. Those negatives can interfere with the even and powerful flow of light that energizes the body.

The color that correlates with the Root Chakra is crimson red. If you will picture a diamond shape and imagine placing it in the area at the base of your spine. If you have difficulty visualizing the color, find something (a pillow, swatch of material, etc. that is crimson red. Image it big enough to encompass the internal organs and glands into the groin surrounding the base of your spine. Now imagine that the whole diamond is turning a wonderful energizing crimson red and as you let it grow brighter, allow your imagination to send the light forth throughout your blood stream to unite your centers all the way to the top of your head. This simple but effective visualization will create a feeling of exuberance and is your first step towards releasing negatives from the body.

Naturally, obstacles will either surface and release themselves or simply, release themselves from you as you begin feeling better and think more positively.

Get ready, then, for the next step........
